How to Order:
To purchase a portrait- simply send me an email to lweir13@hotmail.com . Please be sure to put "Custom Dog Portrait" in the subject field. This will ensure that your email won't end up in my JUNK folder.  If you do not have email you can mail photographs directly to me at the following address:

I will mail your original photographs back to you with your portrait. 
When placing an order be sure to include the following important items:

• Photographs of your dog (You can send as many as you like)
• Your dog's name (I like to hear the crazy names people give their dogs!)
• The color you want your background of the portrait to be (Any color you wish.  If you do not have a preference, I can suggest a color for you)
• Your "ship to" address

The whole process takes about 2 weeks from the time I receive your photographs to the time your portrait arrives on your door step. **The process time depends on the current orders already placed.  Process time may take longer then 2 weeks.  Please specify the date in which you need the portrait by. (Rush processing will be an additional fee.)


Photographing your dog:
The photographs of your dog are very important. My portraits are painted directly from your reference photos.
Here are a few simple yet effective tips while photographing your dog...

1. The photo should include your dog's head and chest.
2. It helps if your dog is sitting upright rather then in a down position.
3. Try photographing your dog on their level.  When you stand above your dog and photograph them, the perspective gets distorted.
4. It is important for me to see your dog's eyes. If your photo is too dark, please provide the eye color in your order. I want to be sure your portrait is rendered properly.
5. If you are questioning the quality of your photos, be sure to send multiple images. The more the better.

**I often paint tribute portraits of dogs who have passed away.  In most cases there are limited numbers of photos.  I will work with whatever you can provide me.  And will do my best in capturing your beloved dog.

**If you are ordering a multiple dog portrait, the dogs do not need to be photographed together.  But please provide some idea of size difference between your dogs.  If your dogs are different breeds, this will also help distinguish the size difference.
